Within the 10 years she has worked with children with behavioral and mental health needs, and children and families involved within the dependency court system due to abuse/neglect allegations along with having experience as a Crisis Intervention Specialist. She has a Bachelors Degree in Social Work from Michigan State University and a Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Webster University. In the past she has been employed as a Certified Case Manager/Case Manager Supervisor/Assistant Director within the twelfth and thirteenth circuit courts with the state of Florida.
